Turkish Hoteliers Federation (TÜROFED) Board Member and Alanya Touristic Operators Association (ALTID) President Burhan Sili made an assessment about the disaster process and stated that the country was going through a difficult process and that Alanya hotel operators took the responsibility with devotion in this process: We wish God’s mercy on our souls who lost their lives in the earthquake, a speedy recovery to our wounded, our condolences and patience to our entire nation.
‘THREE MEALS ARE GIVEN TO THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE’
Our facilities in Alanya opened their doors to and hosted earthquake victims in line with their capabilities and strength. Around 200 facilities in our region host around 28 thousand earthquake victims. While the number of earthquake victims staying in houses is 17,600, around 2 thousand live in state student dormitories. We send three meals a day through the food factory to our guests staying in our apartments or small facilities, which are unable to provide meals, with the contributions of those who contribute financially from our facility owners who cannot open their hotels. We also provide food material support to our facilities with limited financial means.
