The aid collected at 5 different points under the coordination of Alanya District Governorate, Alanya Municipality and AFAD was loaded on 22 trucks and sent to Antalya Airport to be distributed to earthquake zones by cargo plane.
Before the aid trucks set off, a prayer ceremony was held behind the Alanya Municipality Building. The prayer ceremony was attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Antalya Governor Ersin Yazıcı, Alanya District Governor Fatih Ürkmezer, Alanya Mayor Adem Murat Yücel, AK Party District Chairman Mustafa Toklu, MHP Alanya District President Mustafa Sünbül, council members, public institution managers and Deputy mayors attended. After the prayer of Alanya Mufti İhsan İlhan, aid trucks set off.
34 TRAILER FULL OF AID SENT FROM ALANYA IN 2 DAYS
Alanya Mayor Adem Murat Yücel, who stated that they sent 34 aid trucks together with 12 aid trucks that went to the earthquake zone yesterday, said, “I would like to thank the people of Alanya very much. They helped so much that we sent 12 trucks of aid yesterday and 22 trucks today. It is not enough as Alanya. Let’s hope we continue to increase our support. We will get through these days together and together. Our charity campaign will continue. Our citizens can deliver their aid for earthquake victims to our aid tents in front of the Monument, Youth Center, in front of the Mahmutlar Additional Service Building in the east, Konaklı Wedding Hall and Avsallar Additional Service Building in the west.” said.
