The first city changed in the housing price increase

While the prices of houses for sale across the country increased by 174.1 percent on an annual basis in November, they increased by 134.9 percent in December.

Bahçeşehir University Economic and Social Research Center (BETAM) announced the Housing Sale Market Report for December 2022.

According to the report, the average current price per square meter of housing for sale across the country increased by 134.9 percent in December 2022 compared to December of the previous year and reached 15 thousand 802 TL.

In the same period, the current prices of residential properties for sale increased by 142 percent in Istanbul, 139.6 percent in Ankara and 136.9 percent in Izmir.

Average square meter prices of residences for sale were 23 thousand 333 TL in Istanbul, 10 thousand 541 TL in Ankara and 17 thousand 925 TL in İzmir.

KOCAELİ PASSED MERSIN

For the last year, Mersin was almost the champion of the increase in housing prices. As of December, Mersin gave the first place to Kocaeli. Accordingly, Kocaeli was the province with the fastest increase in square meter prices of residences for sale with 166.5 percent.
