The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has started work on the mutual abolition of visas with 12 countries.

Countries negotiating visa-free travel are Mexico, Malaysia, Bahamas, Barbados, Haiti, Trinidad and Tobago, St. Lucia, Bahrain, Oman, Saudi Arabia and Zambia. According to the news, the visa-free stay in Hong Kong is planned to be increased from 2 weeks to 30 days. Turkey is not on the list.

Currently, the number of countries whose citizens can travel to Russia with a visa is 60. Until the plane crisis, Turkish citizens could also enter Russia for short-term visits without a visa. However, after the crisis, Russia unilaterally canceled the application.
