During breastfeeding, mothers need to pay more attention to nutrition than ever before.
Because the amount of breast milk is as important as the nutrition of the milk. Therefore, breastfeeding mothers should have a varied and balanced diet.
HOW SHOULD NURSING MOTHERS FEED?
. 87% of breast milk consists of water. Consumption of at least 10-12 glasses of water every day will increase breast milk.
. Care should be taken not to eat excessively fatty, sugary and floury foods and the consumption of these foods should be limited as much as possible.
. Processed ready meals (sausage, salami, sausage, etc.) should not be consumed.
. Drinks such as lemonade and ayran should be preferred instead of ready-made fruit juices and carbonated drinks.
. Black tea should not be consumed excessively as it can cause anemia. Herbal teas such as linden and rosehip can also be preferred.
. Foods rich in calcium such as cheese, yoghurt, milk and kefir should be consumed regularly in 2-3 servings per day.
. Avocado and salmon containing mono and polyunsaturated fatty acids should be consumed and olive oil should be preferred.
